Definition of Cooperation for 4 - 7 year olds: Cooperation happens when two or more people help each other to make something good happen. It can also apply to animals or parts of a whole that need each other and work together.  An example of this is the human body – all the parts work together to make you healthy.

1. What does the title of this book tell you about the story inside, even before you read it?
2. What is the job of an architect?
3. What skills do engineers need to do their job of building bridges?
4. Many workers are needed to build a park. What are some of the jobs they do?
5. Many workers are needed to create a book like this one. What are some of the jobs they do?
6.  Inside your house are many things, like furniture, a stove, a shower or bath, and the house itself. Ask an adult to tell you about the workers who made those things and delivered them to your home. 
7. Did you see a job in this story that you’d like to do when you grow up? Share about why you chose it. 
8. Share about an example in your neighborhood of something that was created by many different people. Who did what to make it happen? 
9. Do you build anything at school or at home? What materials do you use, where did they come from, does anyone help you? 
10. Ask your parents or grandparents about the work they do or have done, and if they cooperated with others to get the job done.
